Shortlisted for an Award under the category ‘Volunteer Team of the Year’ for the Inspiring Volunteer Awards 2017.

This is for our work on the Superheroes Calendar to raise money for Jason Kiely and the Stroke Association. It’s down to the hard work given by Paul Bushell, Andi Hill, Scott Grenney (Eddystone Media), Tony Cobley, Jess Clarke and all the other volunteers who helped create the calendar. Owen Jones for the art work, Carol Moulding for the printing, Celia Anderson for the copywriting and so many others.

Our role evolved working closely within the core team to help devise the idea over a series of meetings to help coordinate lining up the various local know people to appear on the calendar (the photo shoot for the calendar was done in a single day). We also pushed out messages via Social Media and within the local business community. We had a very tight time window to get the calendar out before Christmas, but in the end raised over £1,315 for the Stroke Association + awareness of the signs of Strokes.
